Day 1: Yangon Arrival

Arrive in Yangon, welcome by our pickup guide and transfer to the hotel for a rest. Overnight at hotel in Yangon.

Day 2: Yangon Circular Train & City Tour (B/--/--)

Morning visit Bogyoke market then take the circular train around Yangon (1-1.5h). Next, you visit Chaukhatatgyi pagoda, walk along the downtown of Yangon (Pansodan street and its old colonial buildings) and visit Shwedagon pagoda at sunset. Overnight at hotel in Yangon.

Day 3: Yangon - Golden Rock, visit the unique sacred pilgrimage of Burmese (190km ~4h drive) (B/--/-

Take a drive to Kyaikhtiyo where the Golden Rock, one of the main pilgrimage sites in Myanmar, is located. On arrival at the foot of the mountain, transfer by truck along a winding road and then take a short walk to the Golden Rock (about one hour). The truck ride (about 45 minutes) is a pretty special experience. Overnight at hotel in Kyaikhtiyo.

Day 4: Golden Rock - Hpa An, visit the caves en route (120 km ~ 3h drive) (B/--/--)

Descent the same way to the camp Kinpun and continue the road to Hpa-An, the capital of Kayin State. This is a beautiful area with rice fields and karst peaks. On the way, stop to visit the caves of Bayint Nyi and Kaw Gun with their varied karst formations:
- Byint Nyi, the home of a hot spring with beautiful views of the Buddhist complex and caves.
- Kaw Gun, a hidden gallery of Buddhist art with its collection of Buddha clay miniatures and carvings which cover the walls and ceiling of the open cave.
If the time allows, take a walk along the river Thanlyin to enjoy the energetic atmosphere of the colorful streets. Overnight at hotel in Hpa An.

Day 5: Hpa An - Sadan cave, Kyauk Kalap and Zwegabin mountain (B/--/--)

After breakfast, depart for the village Lakkhana of the Karen, an ethnic group that inhabits in solid wooden houses surrounded by lush vegetation. You reach it after crossing a small bridge on foot. Head up to Sadan cave, the most impressive site in the region. Visit the Lumbini Garden which offers a beautiful sight with hundreds of Buddhas with golden robes at the foot of Zwekabin mountain, all identical and perfectly aligned. After ¾ tour around Mount Zwekabin, you stop at Kyauk kalap, an unique pagoda on the top of the steep rock basement outcropping in the middle of a lake, opposite the western side of this mountain.

Day 6: Hpa An - Bago - Yangon (300km ~ 6.5h drive) (B/--/--)

Go back to Yangon via Bago, visit Shwemawdaw pagoda, the highest pagoda throughout Myanmar with the stupa 114 m high and the Shwethalyaung temple that houses a reclining Buddha 55 m long.
Arrive in Yangon in the late afternoon. Overnight at hotel in Yangon.

Day 7: Flight Yangon/Lashio - drive to Hsipaw (80 km ~ 2h drive) (B/--/--)

Free time until the transfer without guide to the airport for the flight to Lashio. On arrival, meet our driver and drive to the hotel in Hsipaw for your rest. Overnight at hotel in Hsipaw.

Day 8: Hsipaw sightseeing boat tour and soft walking (B/L/--)

Wake up early this morning and walk through the ‘candlelight market’. This busy morning market is filled with people from the nearby villages including the Shan and Palaung hilltribes who gather in the predawn hours to trade their wares and produce. The market usually lasts from 3.30 until around 6 AM - thus, the stalls are illuminated by candlelight! Sample a typical Shan dish for your first meal of the day if you wish.
Then we’ll set off for a boat journey along the Dokehtawaddy River. It’s a 15 minute walk to the river jetty where your private longtail boat is waiting. You’ll cruise upstream for around 30 minutes to a fruit plantation where you’ll disembark for a walk through the plantation, village and then up to a 150-year old monastery. After visiting the monastery, you will return to our boat. The next part of your boat trip takes us to the confluence of the Dokehtawaddy River where we’ll stop for a swimming break and to take photos of the beautiful setting. You then continue to a hilltribe village where you can take a stroll around the village to meet with the locals and learn more about their culture, traditions and lifestyles. Afterwards return by boat to Hsipaw, arriving mid afternoon. On the way back to Hsipaw you’ll visit (if time allows) various factories around town where you can see locals carrying out cottage industries like weaving, manufacturing noodles, dipping candles and even popping popcorn. The rest of the afternoon you can wander around the town and perhaps enjoy the sunset views over the river from one of the many hilltop temples. Picnic lunch en route. Dinner on own account. Overnight stay in Hsipaw.

Day 9: Hsipaw - drive to Nawpeng, train to Pyin U Lwin @12:30-16:05 (3h drive + 3.5h on train) (B/--

Morning drive to Nawpeng, the old British built railway station for an enchanting 3½ hour train journey on the Lashio – Mandalay train passing by villages and railway bazaars that float by the carriage windows in a timeless fashion (departure around 12:30). The history of this particular train is tied to the black market trade with China. Along the way you will encounter many rich and enticing photo opportunities.
The train will even traverse the renowned Gokteik Bridge, which was built in the 1900’s by the well known Pennsylvania Steel Company when Burma was part of India. The train should arrive Pyin U Lwin at around late afternoon when you will need to disembark. Meet our driver and head up to the hotel for your rest. Overnight at hotel in Pyin U Lwin.

Day 10: Pyin U Lwin sightseeing - drive to Mandalay (70km ~ 2h drive) (B/--/--)

Morning start to explore Pyin Oo Lwin, the former resort of British during the colonial time (2-hour drive).
Take a morning tour around the charming town on a traditional carriage. Move on the tour to National Botanical Garden. On the way back, stop at the Candacraig Hotel built in 1904, the most ancient hotel of Myanmar. Then head up to Mandalay, on arrival, transfer to the hotel, free time for you to relax. . Overnight at hotel in Mandalay.

Day 11: Mandalay - Jade market and city tour (B/--/--)

In the morning, visit the Mandalay Jade Market then you start to explore the cultural capital of Burma:
Kuthodaw pagoda, Shwenandaw monastery, Mahamuni Pagoda. Late afternoon climb up to Mandalay Hill to enjoy the panoramic view over the region at sunset. Overnight at hotel in Mandalay.

Day 12: Mandalay - Amarapura - Inwa and Sagaing (B/--/--)

Day dedicated to the discovery of the imperial ruins around Mandalay including Amarapura, Inwa and Sagaing. Start to visit Inwa, take a horse-cart tour around Ruins of Maha Aungmye Bonzan Monastery (Me Nu Oak Kyaung) and Bagaya monastery and Nanmyint Watch Tower.
Continue to Amarapura, first sightsee Mahagandayon monastery, where over one-thousand monks reside, you can see the monks queuing at lunch time. After touring this tranquil site, move on with U Bein Bridge for a walk along this 200 year-old teak bridge.
At last you transfer to the Buddha land of Sagaing. Visit Buddha cave and U Min Thonze Pagoda, Soon U Pon Nya Shin Pagoda, Tupayon temple where you can enjoy the great view of Mandalay at sunset.

Day 13: Mandalay - day cruise to Bagan (~ 11h on board) (B/L/--)

Meet our driver and transfer to the jetty to embark on a non-stop boat to Bagan along the Irrawaddy River (about 11h on board with breakfast and lunch). Arrive in Bagan, welcome by the driver and transfer to hotel. Overnight at hotel in Bagan.

Day 14: Bagan, discovery of the temples plain with Winido temple (B/--/--)

Day dedicated to the discovery of Bagan, visit main temples and pagodas by horse-cart and car:
- Winido, it is a group of temples. This place is seldomly visited and difficult to access. However some of these temples are interesting.
- Ananda, one of the most remarkable and venerated temples throughout Myanmar with four standing Buddhas.
- Dhammayangyi, the largest structure of Bagan dating back to nineteenth century and built on the orders of the king Narathu.
- Thatbyinnyu, the highest pagoda of the whole Bagan, with a height of 62 meters (if time permits).
- Overnight at hotel in Bagan.

Day 15: Bagan, premium hot air balloon and traditional villages (B/--/--)

- In the early morning (5:30-6:00 am), you will be picked up at the hotel to take the hot air balloon over Old Bagan (premium services) then back to the hotel.
- Continue with a visit to the colorful and lively market of Nyaung U. This market remains very authentic with its wide variety of goods namely vegetables, meats, crafts and clothes.
- Back to Bagan, then transfer to Min Nan Thu village and Phwa Saw village under huge lots of green and shady trees, which are well-noted for the traditional crafts of oxcart wheel-making and lacquer ware, two of the best-known handicrafts of Myanmar. You will stop at a family lacquer ware workshop to watch their producing process. Be welcomed by the craftsman’s family, have a friendly chat with the local artisans who are creating striking items.

Day 16: Flight Bagan/Heho - Inle boat trip around the lake and craft villages (B/--/--)

Transfer to the airport for the flight to Heho. On arrival, meet our guide and move on the day tour by boarding a private motorboat to head out to Inle Lake. Explore the local crafts of Inle Lake such as the weaving village of Inpawkhone, the Ywama Floating Village where goldsmith and silversmith are born.
Visit Phaung Daw Oo Pagoda, the lake’s main sanctuary, which contains five sacred small Buddha images covered in gold leaf and Nga Phe Kyaung Monastery. Overnight at hotel in Inle.

Day 17: Inle – Sagar (B/--/--)

Greet the morning with a visit to a local market/floating market. Spend the day to discover Sagar, the ancient royal city of Shan ethnic group. The tour by motorized-boat (6 hours return) offers magnificent views when crossing small rivers and many lakeside villages of Shan, Pa-oh and Intha. Most residents live in houses on stilts. Stop at the village of Taung Toe which is the home of many pagodas built in the sixteenth century.
On arrival at Sagar, visit the village and its "hollow" stupas with 108 stupas from 16-17th centuries which are partially in the water for a few months every year. It is optional to visit the village monastery and / or go to the top of a small hill for great views over the lake and the surrounding villages.
Explore the distillation process of local rice-wine at the village of Thaya Gone and the manufacturing process of traditional pottery at the village of Khaung Sae. Back to Inle Lake in the late afternoon. Overnight at hotel in Inle.

Day 18: Inle - Kakku - Flight Heho/Yangon (B/--/--)

Morning welcome by our guide and drive up to Kakku, the beautiful site with more than 2000 stupas.
On the way stop to visit some small villages of Pa-o, the main ethnic group in the region. Visit Kakku, the “religious treasure” on the square of six hectares where more than 2500 pagodas were built between the XII and XVIII century, then transfer without guide to Heho airport for the flight back to Yangon. On arrival, welcomed by our driver and transfer to the hotel. Free time. Overnight at hotel in Yangon.

Day 19: Flight Yangon/Kawthaung, overnight at Kawthaung (B/--/--)

Free time before the transfer without guide to the airport for the flight to Kawthaung. On arrival, welcomed by our driver and transfer to the hotel. Free time. Ovenright at hotel in Kawthaung.

Day 20: Kawthaung – Taung La Bo – 115 Island, overnight on cruise (B/L/D)

Our service starts from Myo Ma Jetty in Kawthaung. Mergui Princess’s representative will pick you up at your hotel or airport and transfer to jetty to embark on board. After immigration clearance captain will strat to drive heading to Taung La Bo Island where you can enjoy snorkeling and swimming by island for an hours. After that cruise captain will continue his cruising to 115 Islands group. While cruising you can do sun bathing on the sun deck on the board. Enjoy dinner and overnight on board by 115 Islands group.

Day 21: 115 island – Myauk Ni island – Thay Yae Islandm, overnight on cruise (B/L/D)

Enjoy your breakfast prepared by the Chef of Mergui Princess. 115 Islands Group is crystal water and worth to snorkel to see much colorful school of fishes, hard and soft corals. It is fantastic one of the finest islands to spend time on hiking and jungle trekking through the rain forest. You’ll find here are the very definition of pristine very white and powder sand beaches. It’s no wonder visitors come from all around to sink their toes into miles of pure white sand. If there were time permit, we will send you a new resort which is under construction on the islands. While having your lunch on board, cruise will depart to Myayk Nee I (N.Phipps I) where you can enjoy snorkeling. After making activities the boat will continue to Thay Yae Island. Enjoy dinner and overnight on board by Thay Yae Island.

Day 22: Thay Yae Island – Kawthaung, flight to Yangon (B/L/--)

In the morning we go for norkeling and then depart back to Kawthaung. Cheers for your exploration and complementary soft drinks before arriving back to Kawthaung. After disembarking from boat, Mergui Princess’s representative will send you to Kawthaung airport to take the flight Kawthaung/Yangon. On arrival in Yangon, meet our guide and transfer to the hotel. Free time. Overnight at hotel in Yangon.
