Day 1: Yangon

Mingalabar! Greetings from Myanmar. Arrive Yangon International airport meet with English speaking local guide. Head over to down town to explore historical and colonial buildings, The Secretariat building, St. Mary Cathedral Church, City Hall and Independence Monument. Have lunch at local restaurant. Why not visiting Bogyoke Market and haggle with locals. Check in hotel and rest for a while. Sunset will be at 2000- year old golden temple, Shwedagon Pagoda and proceed to hotel for the day break.

Day 2: Bagan

Take an early morning flight to Bagan (approximately 1.5 hours). Check in hotel and rest for a while. This famous archaeological site, located on the banks of the Ayeyarwady River, is where Theravada Buddhism was first introduced to the Kingdom. It was once the site of 10,000 temples, pagodas and monasteries – it still boasts a staggering 2000 brick and gilded ruins. After arriving this morning, your leader will take you on a half-day bicycle tour of the stunning UNESCO site. Seeing these marvels on two wheels is ideal. As the site is quiet spread out you’ll get to the famous temples like Ananda Temple, Thatbyinnyu, Sularmani, Shwe Gu Gyi, Dhammayangyi Pagodas. Back to hotel and rest for a while as the temperature out site is high around 40 degree Celsius. At 5:30 pm, the English speaking guide will take you to the Min Nan Thu village to see the lacquer ware workshops and proceed to a place where you can take photos and at sun set time. Overnight at Myanmar Treasure Hotel.

Day 3: Bagan

After breakfast, will visit Nyaun U local market purchase some meat and vegetables which are needed for the cooking class for that day. Back to the place where you will cook for that day. You can have a chance to ask the host about the ingredients you might see in the market place. She can share her knowledge of available things in the market and you can also share your cooking knowledge with her. After cooking, you can enjoy your lunch and head back to the hotel followed by a free afternoon. Around 6:00 pm the local guide will come and fetch you to have dinner at local restaurant with Puppet show.

Day 4: Mt. Popa - Mandalay

Prepare for a long day of travel as you drive to Mandalay by private car (approximately 5 hours). Make sure you’re stocked up on snacks and your devices are fully charged for the journey, or perhaps take the time to get to know your fellow travellers. On the way to Mandalay, will drop in to Poppa, Mount Popa is an extinct volcano on the slopes of which can be found the sacred Popa Taungkalat monastery, perched dramatically atop a huge rocky outcrop. Proceed to Mandalay. Though it's mostly a hub for day trips, the enchanting and evocative former royal capital of Mandalay has many lovely churches, temples and mosques to discover. Enjoy free time exploring or simply relaxing this evening.

Day 5: Mandalay - Mingun

Embark on a morning boat trip up the famous Ayeyarwady River to Mingun (approximately 1 hour each way). Here you will find a small handful of impressive pagodas and unique sites, as well as the foundations of what had the potential to be the largest temple in the world. Spend some time exploring, then return to Mandalay. Have lunch at local restaurant.
This afternoon, visit the impressive Mandalay Palace and Shwenandaw Monastery before heading out of the city to witness an awesome sunset over the U Bein Bridge. Come back to Mandalay have dinner and rest for the day.

Day 6: Inle

From Mandalay to Inle by domestic flight. Arrive to Heho and proceed to Inle lake by private car. Nyaungshwe, your gateway to Inle Lake, and a picturesque and culturally fascinating area. Check in and rest for a while. Have lunch at the local restaurant where you can enjoy Shan style of cooking’s. After lunch Inle normal sightseeing and back to hotel in the evening. Then enjoy free time to perhaps visit the bustling night market or enjoy a drink in one of the local bars. Stop by to see the local cigar makers, silk and lotus weavers, and see the unique floating gardens. This tour is a fascinating insight into local handmade traditions, even the floating gardens require considerable manual labour to landscape – local farmers collect weeds from the depths of the lake, then fashion them into gardens with the help of bamboo poles as anchors.

Day 7: Indein

This morning, explore Indein by boat, then continue for a sightseeing tour. Can visit villages and have a chance to explore the ways of life. Have lunch at the local restaurant and back to Inle. Have free time and have dinner at the local restaurant.

Day 8: Yangon

Catch a afternoon flight to Yangon. Check in hotel and have some free time. This evening, why not head out for a final group dinner to toast to your adventure.

Day 9: Departure

Your trip comes to an end today and you are free to depart at any time.
