Innwa Sightseeing by Horse Cart

Visit to Innwa, also known as Ava was the old capital of Myanmar which is a record in the kingdom of Myanmar. You must first take the Innwa jetty, and then you will be able to take a horse car ride, can visit several interesting places and admire the quiet life of the locals too.The first thing you will have to see the Yadana Hsemee Pagoda complex where you can admire several beautiful buddhas between the restored ruins. The next stop is the Bagaya Monastery, an un-renovated building constructed in 1834 and completely built in teak. It is still under use as a school, so perhaps you are lucky and can see a class with small children and monks.The third will be the leaning Watchtower of Innwa, the only remain of the old palace. It is leaning because of the earthquakes and nowadays is forbidden to climb it as it is dangerous.The forth stop is the Maha Aungmye Bonzan Monastery, also known as Me Nu Oak Kyaung, which is well conserved. Built in 1818 in stone, the king Bagyidaw dedicated it to his wife Me Nu, you can admire its traditional style and the elaborated stucco ornamentation.
