Description : Formerly known as the "Strand Hotel Sandaway", it was first established by the Steel Brothers Company on March 15th 1961. It was transferred to the Ministry of Trade in 1965 under the same name of the Ngapali beach Hotel and again transferred to a private company, "Lone ma Lay group" under the same name on November 1st 1999. 
Location : The Amata Spa & Resort is located near the delightful Mya Pyin village at Ngapali Beach. The nearest airport is at Thandwe, an enjoyable 15 minute drive from the resort. Thandwe Airport is a convenient 45 minute direct flight from Yangon.

The interiors are luxurious and gracefully spacious with modern bathroom facilities including soak tubs.
Tropical gardens surround the cabanas, shielding them from view and affording privacy. Outside areas include a peaceful Asian-landscaped mediation niche, a deck with panoramic views, and a calming, tranquil outdoor 'au naturel' shower area once again totally screened by foliage. Cabana Cottage :
Each two-storey beach bungalow is equipped with a unique, spacious bedroom in the upstairs area, and a relaxing comfortable living room and fully equipped bathroom on the ground level. The bungalows are surrounded by lush tropical landscaped gardens with Asian-style soak tubs and 'au naturel' outdoor showering area screened by foliage.
